Mr. Speaker, after eight years of the Prime Minister's catch-and-release policies and his mismanagement of our ports, car thefts have gone up by over 200% in Toronto and 100% in Montreal. There are 12,000 cars stolen in Canada's biggest city every single year. That is one car stolen every 40 minutes. Will the Prime Minister accept my common-sense plan to scan every shipping container, reinforce our ports and put career car thieves behind bars?

Mr. Speaker, the Prime Minister is still not worth the crime. He unleashed the car theft crisis by bringing in house arrest and bail, not jail, for repeat career car thieves and by allowing our ports to become sieves where our cars are stolen from, so much so that we are now becoming world-famous for the Prime Minister's failures. Ghana's Economic and Organised Crime Office says, “We are...in possession of the stolen vehicles. The victims...it's all in Canada,” and, “No Canadian agency has approached us directly or made a formal complaint”. Will the Prime Minister take the money from the back-office bureaucrats and consultants and put it into frontline law enforcement to protect our cars?

Mr. Speaker, after eight years of this Prime Minister, he is not worth the crime caused by his automatic catch-and-release policies for car thieves and his mismanagement of the ports. Mark Roos had his Dodge Ram stolen. According to the AirTag he put in his truck, it was at the port of Montreal. He knows it is there. However, according to port security, they cannot go find the truck because there are not enough scanners. Will the Prime Minister agree to my common-sense plan and buy 24 scanners to find the Dodge Ram?

Mr. Speaker, after eight years, the Prime Minister is not worth the cost and the crime. Auto theft is up 300% in Toronto and 100% in Ottawa and Montreal in the last eight years of his catch-and-release policies, but his minister says not to worry. There's already a mandatory jail time provision in 333.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code. Yes, but it is only for six months. Today, we propose a mandatory three years for three cars stolen. Will they support this common-sense change, yes or no?

Mr. Speaker, he says that he would keep crime down. Crime is way up. Violent crime is up 40% under the Prime Minister. Today, he had his ministers hold a big press conference as their solution. In it, they put out a press release that said, “In 2022, approximately 9,600 vehicles were stolen in the Toronto area alone, representing a 300% increase since 2015”. What happened in 2015? I know; he happened. How can we make him unhappen and stop the crime?
