Mr. Speaker, the Prime Minister refuses to rule out repeating the disastrous experiment that killed 2,500 British Columbians, because he strongly supports decriminalization, and if he got a chance he would do it all over again in Toronto, in Montreal and anywhere else.
The final question, therefore, is this: Even the radical NDP government in B.C. asked for the Prime Minister to reverse his decriminalization. Why did it take him 10 days and 66 more deaths to do it?

Mr. Speaker, after nine years, this Prime Minister is not worth the crime and the drugs.
His extreme and radical policies on drugs, supported by the Bloc Québécois, have tripled the number of overdose deaths. In today's Journal de Montréal, we read “Syringes on the ground, degrading scenes and rowdiness: a chaotic setting near a supervised injection site steps away from a Montreal school”.
When will he reverse his radical policies that are causing deaths?

Mr. Speaker, anyone who believes six deaths per day is not an emergency needs to give their head a shake. Anybody who says that 2,500 deaths a year is not an emergency needs to give their head a shake. Those numbers, by the way, do not include the indirect deaths caused by drug-induced crime on innocent bystanders who might just be taking their kids to a local Starbucks before they get stabbed in front of their family and die in a puddle of their own blood, which is then broadcast on social media, as we have seen.
Those are the kinds of horrific scenes that have become commonplace ever since the Prime Minister and the NDP radical policy was implemented. Given that we are losing six lives a day, given that the reversal of the policy could prevent some of those lost lives, or at the very least, that such a matter should be debated, and given that the clock is ticking as the NDP government in B.C. awaits a decision from the Prime Minister and his health minister, this is an emergency.
We ask the Speaker to join with common-sense Conservatives to allow for this debate to happen immediately so that we can stop the drugs, disorder, death and destruction that the radical NDP-Liberal decriminalization policy has caused.

Mr. Speaker, the minister is wasting time while people are dying.
In the year after this radical Prime Minister granted the decriminalization of crack, heroin and other hard drugs in parks and hospitals, 2,500 people died. Overdose deaths, during the nine years of the Prime Minister, have tripled, the fastest rising of the 11 countries studied by the Commonwealth Fund. Nurses are afraid to go to work because they have to put up with addicts using meth, crack and weapons in their hospital rooms. Nurses are having to give up on breastfeeding, because they are worried their kids will be contaminated with the drugs they breathe in.
What the hell are they thinking over there?

Mr. Speaker, this government's approach actually does come from the United States, from Seattle, San Francisco and Portland. That is why people are dying in the United States: because those jurisdictions have the same woke policies as this government.
The number of deaths in those big cities is a tragedy we should strive not to duplicate. We should avoid that approach here in Canada. We should follow the example set by other countries around the world that invest in rehabilitation and treatment, instead of supplying drugs that kill people.

Mr. Speaker, what I would say to anybody who has lost a loved one, including a daughter or a son, to drug overdose is that our heart goes out to them and that we are going to fix the problem the government caused, which led to that overdose in the first place.
The minister is quite right when she heckles that these people have died. They have died under her watch. They have died under the Prime Minister's watch, as he has flooded the streets with powerful heroin-like drugs, which have been paid for with tax dollars, have funded a black market for fentanyl, and have killed so many people.
It is not enough for us just to point out that the Prime Minister's policies have led to these deaths. Conservatives are going to turn the hurt that he has caused into the hope Canadians need. My message to those parents is that their child did not die in vain. We will make sure that other people's children get the recovery that would have saved lives if that recovery, treatment and rehabilitation had been in place. Hope is possible and hope is on the way.

Mr. Speaker, people are dying because the minister and the Prime Minister are flooding the streets with dangerous drugs and killing these people. Since they brought in this policy, there has been a 300% increase in drug overdose deaths, and 30,000 people have lost their lives. Investigative journalists have shown that the drugs that she is funding with Canadian tax dollars are flooding the streets and being sold for a dollar—

Mr. Speaker, to be blunt, his policies are killing people.
The number of overdose deaths that have happened in this country, in British Columbia in particular, where the policies of this government and the NDP are most advanced, are up by 300%. Those deaths were 75% lower before these policies came into place. Worse, beyond just subsidizing deadly drugs, now he wants to decriminalize crack, heroin and cocaine in partnership with the NDP government in B.C.
This policy is insane. It is killing people. Will the Prime Minister reverse it before it is too late for more Canadians?
