Mr. Speaker, he still will not answer the question. All the Liberal ministers came in with little cue cards a week ago with all these rebates on them. They were waving them around very proudly, and then we went to the Parliamentary Budget Officer and asked for the full price by province. We quoted that, for example, in Nova Scotia, it is $1,500 in costs to the average family according to the PBO. Again, that is $1,500 in costs. What is the rebate, the number?

Mr. Speaker, that is the best answer he can come up with after eight years of record food price increases that has forced people not just to food banks, but to literally jump into dumpsters and to bring their phones so that they network on Facebook to share tips on how to eat out of garbage cans in Canada. Life was not like this before the Prime Minister, and it will not be like this after he is gone. In the meantime, will he at least have the humanity to cancel his April 1, 23% tax hike?

Mr. Speaker, prices have risen so fast that Canadians did not want champagne for Thanksgiving; they just want some food. I did a little price shopping on that for him. In the last days of the Conservative government, the price for a pound of turkey was $1.49. The flyers today show it is $2.49, a 70% increase. I might add that the picture of the turkey during the Conservative years was a big plump beautiful bird, whereas right now it is a skimpy, shrimpy little thing that looks like it has been taxed to death. Why will the Liberals not get off the back of the turkey so we can have a nice dinner for Thanksgiving?

Mr. Speaker, thanks to his coalition with the NDP, the Prime Minister has a majority and can push through any measure he wants. However, after eight years, the cost of food is going up. He is the one who promised a month ago to bring down the cost of groceries by Thanksgiving. Will he keep his promise and lower the price of peas by 22%, the price of lettuce by 33%, the price of turkey by 37% and the price of potatoes by 74%? He is the one who made the promise. Will he lower prices by Thanksgiving this Monday?

Mr. Speaker, I ask the Prime Minister to please not keep doing anything he is doing. In fact, he talks about grocery prices. A month ago, he held a big photo-op where he claimed he would stabilize grocery prices before Thanksgiving. The news is out that a single Thanksgiving turkey now costs as much as $120. It is now six days until Thanksgiving. Will the Prime Minister promise to bring the price of turkey back down to normal levels before people eat the turkey on Monday?

Mr. Speaker, the B.C. Centre for Disease Control revealed today that it now costs over $1,200 a month for a basket of nutritious food for the average family in that province. It is an explosion of costs that have taken place under the Prime Minister. Those numbers come from a year ago, and the same report says that prices are higher now. Now the Prime Minister's solution for that is a 61¢-a-litre carbon tax that will push gas prices well over two dollars a litre and increase the cost to farmers and truckers who bring us our food. How much will that increase the cost of food for Canadians?

Mr. Speaker, gas prices hit $2.40 a litre in Vancouver. They just jumped 10¢ a litre in one day in other markets. What is the NDP-Liberal solution? It is more price gouging. The costly coalition voted to triple the tax on gasoline and other essentials. The biggest price gougers in Canada are these two parties that form this costly coalition. When they do triple the tax, how much will it cost across Canada to buy a litre of gas?
