Mr. Speaker, after eight years, the NDP-Liberal Prime Minister is not worth the cost or the cover-up. For three years, the Prime Minister covered up a terrifying national security breach at Canada's highest-security lab, hiding the fact that the head of special pathogens was actively collaborating with top Beijing military scientists engaged in biodefence and bioterrorism. In the face of that, will the Prime Minister accept responsibility for this colossal failure on his watch?

Mr. Speaker, last September, shamefully, a former SS soldier was honoured in this House during the address of the President of Ukraine. The Prime Minister claimed he had no idea that this individual had been invited, even though it happened at his event, organized by his office. Instead of taking responsibility, he threw the now former Speaker under the bus, but we now know that the same SS soldier was invited by the Prime Minister to his exclusive reception with the President of Ukraine. This completely shatters the Prime Minister's claim that he had no idea and that his office was not involved. The Prime Minister knew all along, and he hid the truth from Canadians. The Prime Minister is responsible, and he must be held accountable for this shameful affair.

Madam Speaker, consistent with the Prime Minister not taking responsibility, one of his ministers claims that he was not responsible for not reviewing a memo that was sent to his attention. It warned that the member for Wellington—Halton Hills was being targeted by Beijing. The minister blames CSIS instead. With the cover-up, the denial and the blame, the Liberals' story just does not add up. Why do they expect all the power and none of the responsibility?

Madam Speaker, yesterday, the Prime Minister's national security adviser testified that her office and three deputy ministers received a memo warning that a sitting member of Parliament and his family were being targeted by Beijing. This memo went into a black hole, but according to her, no one is responsible for that. It is the Prime Minister's job to run the machinery of government, and he has special responsibilities when it comes to national security. Will he finally step up and accept responsibility for this colossal failure taking place on his watch?

Mr. Speaker, yesterday, the Minister of Public Safety repeatedly claimed that vigorous security processes were in place, except that is not true. Government officials are on record saying that security issues were not considered when this contract was awarded, a contract that affects our national security directly. When will the Liberals finally accept responsibility for this complete failure on their part to protect our national security?
