This is National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week, which seeks to raise awareness of the critical need for more donors across the country. Every year, hundreds of Canadians die while waiting for an organ transplant. Statistics from the Canadian Institute of Health Information show that the deceased donor rates increased by 42% between 2009 and 2018. Can the Minister of Health tell the House what our government is doing to improve organ donation and transplantation in Canada?
