Madam Speaker, I rise for the 18th time on behalf of the people of Swan River, Manitoba, to present a petition on the rising rate of crime. The people of Swan River are tired of the NDP-Liberal government's soft-on-crime policies, which allow violent repeat offenders to be out on the streets. Folks in this rural community do not recognize their once safe town. Instead of focusing on tomorrow's future, the people of Swan River are focused on yesterday's crimes. The petitioners are calling for action with jail, not bail, for these violent repeat offenders. The people of Swan River demand that the Liberal government repeal its soft-on-crime policies, which directly threaten their livelihoods and community. I support the good people of Swan River.
