An Act to amend the Telecommunications Act (transparent and accurate broadband services information)
  • This bill, called C-288, aims to make it easier for Canadians to access accurate information about fixed broadband services offered by Canadian carriers. It requires carriers to provide specific information to the public, including service quality metrics during peak periods, typical download and upload speeds during peak periods, and any other information deemed to be in the public's interest by the regulatory body, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).
