Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague for his important question and especially his hard work for his constituents in Laval—Les Îles. Respecting official languages is not only an obligation, it is also essential to delivering our services more effectively to Canadians. Bill C‑13 on the modernization of the Official Languages Act will strengthen the powers of the Treasury Board with respect to official languages to ensure that federal institutions are compliant.
