Mr. Speaker, generational fairness is one of our top priorities. In fact, it was one of the key themes of the last federal budget. This week, we are making changes to the capital gains inclusion rate. These changes will not only allow us to pay for the green energy transition, but they will also create jobs for this and future generations. We can already see that our economic plan is working. We have record investments and are creating prosperity for generations to come. We know that the Conservatives will probably vote against it. On our side of the House, we will always be there for this and future generations.

Mr. Speaker, it is clear to the thousands of Canadians watching us on television today that that is the party of inaction. Inaction is the Conservatives' approach to fighting climate change, to economic growth and to creating the jobs of tomorrow. The thousands of Canadians watching at home believe in climate action. They want action to create the jobs of tomorrow. They want economic growth. That is what we believe, that is what Canadians believe and that is what we are going to do for this country.

Mr. Speaker, that is an excellent question. Yes, there are concerns, but there are also great economic developments that are very encouraging for Canadians. Last month, the Canadian economy added 37,000 jobs. Unemployment is going down. Women's participation in the workforce is at an all-time high. What is more, we are attracting generational investments in the automotive, biomanufacturing and natural resources sectors. Canada is positioning itself as an economic leader in the 21st century.
