Madam Speaker, the member is talking about disasters. I know all too well what she is talking about. Here in the Outaouais, we have experienced three 100-year floods in the last six years. What the member does not know is that we are the first and only government to have prepared a credible plan to combat climate change and greenhouse gases. She should really go talk to those on the other side who flatly deny that climate change exists. I wonder why she is not doing that. Any investment or measure to combat climate change must be implemented—

Mr. Speaker, the Bloc Québécois cannot be serious. Members have before them the first government with credible targets and a plan to achieve net zero in 2050. We have a government that is looking out for our oceans by fighting against plastic and ready to implement a whole host of measures that will enable Canada to meet its Paris targets and will fight the effects of climate change, including in our St. Lawrence River.

Mr. Speaker, debating things that help and have positive impacts for Canadians wherever they may live, in Ontario or elsewhere, on climate change, for disabled Canadians or in any other matter is precisely why we are making this place more open for debate, so that we can have greater productivity. We can debate more things and pass more measures that will help everyday Canadians.

Mr. Speaker, in the last election campaign, all of the colleagues on the other side of the House went around their neighbourhoods in Sarnia—Lambton and elsewhere, and around their ridings. They had nice glossy brochures with Mr. O'Toole on the cover. He had a nice black T-shirt on. What was in there? It was a price on pollution. All of these members went around their neighbourhoods committing to put a price on pollution as part of a plan to fight climate change. Why did we believe Conservatives then and why should we believe them now?
