In accordance with its Order of Reference of Wednesday, June 1, 2022, your Committee has considered Bill C-235, An Act respecting the building of a green economy in the Prairies, and agreed on Thursday, November 17, 2022, to report it with the following amendments: Clause 2
That Bill C-235, in Clause 2, be amended by replacing line 12 on page 1 with the following:
“Minister means the minister responsible for economic development in the Prairie provinces. (ministre)”
Clause 3
That Bill C-235, in Clause 3, be amended by replacing line 14 on page 1 with the following:
“ister of the Environment, the Minister of Transport, the Minister of Industry, the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, the”
That Bill C-235, in Clause 3, be amended by replacing lines 15 to 17 on page 1 with the following:
“Minister of Finance and the Minister of Natural Resources, develop a framework to coordi‐”
That Bill C-235, in Clause 3, be amended by replacing line 4 on page 2 with the following:
“and with municipalities, Indigenous governing bodies, the private sector”
That Bill C-235, in Clause 3, be amended by adding after line 6 on page 2 the following:
“(2.1) The consultation process provided for under subsection (2) is only required if such a consultation process is not already provided for under any other Act of Parliament or any Act of a province or by-law of a municipality.”
That Bill C-235, in Clause 3, be amended by replacing line 14 on page 2 with the following:
“(b) fostering job creation and skills transfer, as evidenced by increased employment, in Prairie regions”
That Bill C-235, in Clause 3, be amended by replacing, in the English version, line 16 on page 2 with the following:
“them to build a net-zero emissions green economy and”
That Bill C-235, in Clause 3, be amended by replacing line 22 on page 2 with the following:
“make use of all sources of energy, including nuclear”
That Bill C-235, in Clause 3, be amended by replacing line 24 on page 2 with the following:
“(d) supporting the continued development of clean energy in fields such as agricul‐”
Clause 4
That Bill C-235, in Clause 4, be amended by replacing line 35 on page 2 with the following:
“4 (1) Within 12 months after the day on which this Act”
That Bill C-235, in Clause 4, be amended by replacing lines 1 and 2 on page 3 with the following:
“(2) The Minister must publish the report on the departmental website within 10 days after the re‐”

That Bill C-235, in Clause 5, be amended by replacing lines 8 to 10 on page 3 with the following:
