    FOURTH REPORT

    ................Page Break................

Observations to the fourth report of the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology (Bill C-10)

Your committee was informed of the urgent need to adopt the proposed measures in Bill C-10, and as such, was limited in its ability to thoroughly examine the legislation. Your committee further notes that the study of recent legislation, including Bill C-10 and Bill C-12, An Act to amend the Old Age Security Act (Guaranteed Income Supplement), has required the committee to complete its work under tight deadlines. Going forward, your committee stresses the importance of ensuring senators are provided ample opportunity to fully execute their role within the legislative process.
