Madam Speaker, the member for Lethbridge made a very compelling presentation, but she missed the original sin, and that is that there is a sixth incident, which is the very first incident, the one in which the Speaker, in his robes in his office, not far from this chamber, recorded a video to be played at the Liberal convention. While that privilege motion was being debated in the House, only a few days later he attended the function in Washington to which the member referred. How many apologies and mistakes does the member think are acceptable in partisanship of the Speaker? Is it 10, 20 or one?

Madam Speaker, the member for Lethbridge has been getting up to ask questions, but the Speaker is censoring her due to a faulty ruling, so I urge the Speaker to change her ruling and let the people of Lethbridge have a voice in the House.

Madam Speaker, I again would like to thank the member for her kind comments. One of the experiences we had, as I mentioned in my remarks, were areas where there was only one road in and one road out. The evacuation on the north shore of Quebec, the Minister of Emergency Preparedness explained to me the other night, was a big challenge because 10,000 people had to go through one road and one bridge, and that bridge had been damaged. What does the member think we can do to better plan and look at these communities in a different way to provide assurances or ways to have alternative exits in case we face this again, which we will?

Mr. Speaker, I thank the hon. member for sharing the experience he went through. I actually had the eye of a hurricane pass over my house and stood outside in it only a few years ago. He is not the only person in the House who experienced the Confederation Bridge. I was the chief of staff to the minister who signed the deal on the Confederation Bridge way back when, when that member was the economic development minister in the Ghiz government, and we had some interaction around Summerside. I am a long-serving member of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Fisheries, which has done four reports on small craft harbours over the last decade outlining that more was needed in A-base funding, a lot more, so proper long-term capital planning could be done by port authorities to manage these wharfs so they were not in the shape they are in now, where they are more easily destroyed by these storms. Will he help all of us, and I will help him as well, to continue to advocate and push harder for proper funding for that program so we can get ahead of the maintenance? The Speaker's riding and my riding alone need $600 million to bring our wharfs up to operational standards, according to DFO.
