SteelmanSpren in Favour

  • The passage of Bill C-21 is necessary for the protection of Canadians. The amendments to the Criminal Code will increase penalties for weapons offences, establish a regime for emergency prohibition and limitations on access orders, and create new offences for possession and distribution of certain types of computer data related to firearms. These measures will help keep firearms out of the hands of dangerous individuals and reduce the risk of gun violence. The amendments to the Nuclear Safety and Control Act will provide nuclear security officers and on-site nuclear response force members with the authority to carry out the duties of peace officers at high-security nuclear sites, increasing the securit

Additionally, the restrictions on the transfer of handguns and firearm parts and the requirements for importation of ammunition may have a negative impact on the firearms industry and the economy. Overall, this legislation may not effectively address t
