This enactment amends the Canadian Bill of Rights to include the right to proper housing at a reasonable cost and free of unreasonable barriers.

An Act to amend the Canadian Bill of Rights (right to housing) |
Whereas Parliament recognizes the dignity and worth of all individuals and acknowledges that they have the right to enjoy the security and benefits provided by proper housing;
And whereas continued access to proper housing, free of unreasonable financial or other barriers, is necessary to ensure that right;
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

(b.1) the right of the individual to proper housing at a reasonable cost and free of unreasonable barriers;
