Madam Speaker, the important part to deal with here is that we are worried, and have been for some time, about the framework and those restrictions and what this slippery slope could lead to. It is about having a robust framework to ensure that those individuals cannot be taken advantage of or use the system in an unfortunate way. This is the Parliament of Canada. We are dealing with the federal Criminal Code that impacts all provinces. When provinces have come forward and said that they are not ready to implement such a system or when so many stakeholders say that they are opposed to this, I will listen to the people across the country, whatever province they are from.
