Mr. Speaker, what the member opposite just demonstrated is that he does not understand that what he has been talking about from the very beginning is austerity. It is withdrawing and not being there to support Canadians who need it, in the hopes that it will somehow make everything okay. What Canadians saw during this pandemic and what Canadians are seeing during this recovery is that by being there in targeted, measured ways, through things like making sure every family can afford to send their kids to the dentist and like making sure we are giving a top-up to the lowest-income renters, we support people in difficult times, something the Conservatives do not do anything about.

Mr. Speaker, I have the honour to present, in both official languages, the eighth report of the Standing Committee on Industry and Technology, entitled “Post-Covid-19 Economic Recovery: How can we rebuild better?”. Pursuant to Standing Order 109 the committee requests that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.
