Mr. Speaker, the unjust war in Ukraine is having a tremendous impact on countries all around the world. This war has led to a global food shortage. The conflict, combined with the effects of climate change and the pandemic, is threatening to push tens of millions of people into food insecurity, hunger and famine, especially in Africa. Could the hon. Prime Minister tell the House what Canada is doing to help the people facing this kind of crisis?

Mr. Speaker, Yemen is undergoing the world's worst humanitarian crisis and its people deserve decisive action, especially women and girls who are disproportionately affected. Canadians are deeply concerned by the raging conflict and the deteriorating food security situation. What is the Minister of International Development doing to help the people of Yemen?

Mr. Speaker, this is International Development Week. We would like to thank the sector's workers, partners and volunteers who are working hard to improve the lives of people in many countries. This year, I would like to draw the House's attention to women and girls who face unique challenges that have been exacerbated by the pandemic. Can the hon. Prime Minister tell us what Canada is doing to support women and girls abroad?
