This enactment amends the Impact Assessment Act to provide that the federal government and the provinces may, if certain conditions are met, enter into agreements to exempt certain projects from the application of that Act.

His Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
2019, c. 28, s. 1
(a) is carried out in a province that is the subject of an order made under subsection (2); and
(b) is subject to that province’s assessment process.
End of inserted block(a) determine the effects that are likely to be caused by the carrying out of the projects, including effects within federal jurisdiction; and
(b) identify mitigation measures for the adverse effects of the projects.
